  • Absolutely. Containers are durable and secure, ideal for long-term storage. Our containers have a lockbox, in which you can place a high-quality block lock for added security.

  • Condensation problems can sometimes occur, depending on what is stored, humidity and temperature fluctuations. Our containers all have some degree of ventilation that is usually adequate, but if it is deemed necessary, we can make the necessary adjustments to prevent it.

  • The new and used options we have in stock include a variety of colors. If the color you need is not available, we can spray paint any RAL color you need. Unless otherwise noted, we use a high quality marine paint system for all repaints.

  • This depends on the use of the container. However, they are designed and made for long and heavy use in which goods are transported all over the world. Therefore, they are very sturdy and safe. A used option has usually been in use internationally for more than 10 years and sometimes longer, but depending on use, location and reasonable maintenance, it is not uncommon to expect another 10-plus years of use. New units have completed one trip from the country of manufacture and, with reasonable use and maintenance, can be expected to last more than 30 years as a storage unit.

Other Questions

  • Containers are considered temporary structures and therefore do not normally require planning permission. However, we do recommend taking into account the local environment; for example, we can provide green units for rural areas. If in doubt, it may be wise to check with your local council.

  • Basically, there is no difference. All of our units, unless modified, are new or used ISO transport units originally designed and manufactured to specific international ISO standards. These design and manufacturing standards ensure that they can safely withstand the rugged elements of international transportation for years to come and keep contents safe, dry and secure on land, sea, trucks and trains.
